The Master Password is the key to your vault that you're prompted to create when you initially sign up for your NordPass account. The Master Password is never shared with us and is only known by you.
In addition, the Master Password cannot be reset by regular means, only with a 24-symbol code provided during initial setup. Follow our guide on what to do if you have forgotten your Master Password.
Your account password is how you log in to your Nord Account, which is used by NordPass. If you forgot your account password after entering your email, follow the steps below:
- Select “Forgot password”.
- Confirm that your email address is entered correctly, and click on “Send Reset Link”.
- A reset password link will be sent to your email. Open the link by clicking on “Reset password”.
- A new screen will open to create a new password.

Enter a new password, and click “Create Password”.
Note: Your new password cannot be the same as the previous one.
