Introduction
This article will show you how to configure a Network Allowlist, available only to users with the Owner or Admin role in the NordPass Admin Panel.
It allows your organization to restrict access to the NordPass vault and Admin Panel based on specific IP addresses or geographic locations
Note: Avoid defining rules that are too limited (for example, allowing only a single IP address or country when your team operates from multiple locations). Doing so may unintentionally block your team from accessing NordPass.
When configuring company rules, you can add a rule with 0.0.0.0/0 to allow all possible IP addresses. After finalizing your rules, delete the 0.0.0.0/0 rule to enforce restrictions.
Here's what to do
Creating a new rule:
- Log in to the NordPass Business admin panel.
Note: You have to be an Owner or Admin to make any changes.
- In the left side menu, go to Policies → Access Management.
- Click Network Allowlist
- Create an allowlist rule by selecting “Add Rule”.
- You can choose either an IP address or a Location for your rule.
Note: Your current IP and location are automatically added for the first rule to prevent locking yourself out.
- Give your rule a clear name, and click save to activate the restriction.
To edit or delete an existing rule:
- Log in to the NordPass Business admin panel.
- Navigate to Policies → Access Management.
- Open Network Allowlist.
- Click the three dots next to the rule you want to change
- Select Edit to modify or Delete to remove the rule.
Additional information
- All changes - including additions, edits, and deletions - are automatically logged in the Activity Log for auditing purposes.
