Account Recovery for business users

Introduction

If you have forgotten your Master Password and lost the Recovery Code, you can regain access to the Business vault. This can be done through the NordPass web version of the Admin Panel or via the NordPass application.

 

Here's what to do:

If you have the recovery code:

  1. Log in to your NordPass account, and click the "Forgot your Master Password?" button.
  2. Find your recovery code. The recovery code is a 24-symbol code you were prompted to save during account setup.
  3. Enter your recovery code and select the "Continue" button.
  4. Create your new master password and press the "Continue" button again.

 

If you do not have the recovery code:

  1. Head to the Admin Panel or open the NordPass application.
  2. Click “Forgot your Master Password?”
  3. Select “Forgot Recovery code?” 
  4. Click “Send Request and Continue”.
  5. Now, you will be able to create a new Master Password.
  6. You will receive a four-digit confirmation code, which you will need to share with your Organization’s Owner.
  7. Once the Owner checks your code and approves the recovery request, you will receive a confirmation via email.

 

Additional tips

  • If the only organization's owner loses the Master Password and does not have recovery codes, we recommend getting in touch with the Customer Support team.
  • Never reuse old passwords.
  • Make sure to create a strong password that contains 12 characters, a combination of upper and lowercase letters, and a healthy mix of special characters and numbers.
