MFA is required only when logging into your Nord Account. Since your Nord Account provides access to all Nord services—including NordPass, NordVPN, and NordLocker—you'll need to complete MFA to use any of these services.
Once logged in, you'll still need your Master Password to unlock your NordPass secure vault and access your files.
