How to disable the Brave password manager on Desktop?

Introduction

In this article, we will learn how to disable the Brave password manager.

 

While NordPass will work right from the moment the extension is installed, if there are any passwords saved in the native Brave password manager, those passwords will still be suggested.

 

Before starting, we suggest exporting your passwords from Brave, as they will be deleted.

 

Here's what to do

  1. Open the Brave browser.
  2. Click on the three-lined button in the upper right corner of your browser's window and choose “settings”.
  3. Head to “Autofill and Passwords”.
  4. Click on “Password Manager”.
  5. Locate the settings menu, and press “delete data”.
  6. Within the new window, click delete and confirm it with your computer password.
