Introduction
This guide will explain how to generate new Recovery codes for your NordPass account.
Here's what to do
- Log in to the NordPass application or extension, and select the “Cog” icon to access the settings.
Note: If you are using a mobile device, select the “Profile” button and then tap on the “Settings” option.
- Scroll down and select the “Reset Recovery Code” button:
- Next, you’ll be notified that all previous Recovery Codes you’ve generated will no longer be valid. Confirm your choice by pressing the “Reset” button.
- Enter your Master password and select “Continue”.
Note: If you have biometrics enabled to unlock NordPass, use it instead of entering your Master Password.
- Once the new Recovery Code is generated, save it somewhere safe by clicking the “Copy” button or “Download as PDF” button. It is the only way to access your items if you lose your Master Password.
Additional Tips
- If you lost your Master Password and Recovery Code, your access can only be restored manually. Please fill out the NordPass account reset form to request a full account reset.
