Introduction
In this article, you will learn how to move your company passwords from LastPass to NordPass by exporting your data as a CSV file.
Before you start
- File attachments stored in LastPass are not included in exports. Download them separately before exporting.
- Item categories such as SSH Keys, Custom Items, and Bank Accounts will be imported into NordPass as Secure Notes.
- Shared folders will be imported as shared folders with the Shared- prefix.
Here's what to do
LastPass browser extension
- Open your web browser and launch the LastPass browser extension.
- Select your email address, choose “Advanced”, then select “Export”, and click “LastPass CSV File”.
- Enter your Master Password when prompted.
- Choose a location on your computer and save the CSV file.

LastPass website vault
- Open your browser and log in to your LastPass account.
- From the sidebar, click “Advanced Options”, then select “Export”.
- Confirm the export through the email sent by LastPass.
- After verification, repeat the second step to begin downloading your data.
- Depending on your browser:
- A CSV file may download automatically.
- LastPass may open a new browser tab displaying your vault items:
- Press Cmd + A (macOS) or Ctrl + A (Windows) to select all content.
- Copy the highlighted text.
- Paste it into Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (macOS) as plain text.
Note: If using TextEdit, change the format, open “Format” and select “Make Plain Text”.
- Save the file and rename it to include .csv, for example: LastPassExport.csv

Additional tips
- Double-check that all required items are included in the exported CSV file before importing.
- Make sure any downloaded file attachments from LastPass are stored securely.
