Password History

With the Password History feature, you can see your password history, restore previous password versions, and see when any changes were made to it in NordPass. 

 

Below are the steps to view password history in NordPass and the main information about this feature. 

 

Desktop app and Web Vault

 

  1. Log in to your NordPass desktop application or Web Vault. 

  2. Click the three dots icon next to an item you want to view and select View Password History.

  3. This will open a new window with your item's password history. You can view up to 10 latest passwords, restore the previous password version or copy the password.

Android app

 

  1. Log in to your NordPass Android app. 

  2. Tap the three dots next to an item you want to view.

  3. Tap View Password History.

    Alternatively, Password History can also be viewed in the item's view. Tap a Password item to open it, tap the three dots icon, and select View Password History.

  4. This will open your item's password history. You can view up to 10 latest passwords, restore the previous password version or copy the password.

 

iOS app

 

  1. Log in to your NordPass iOS app. 

  2. Tap the three dots next to an item you want to view.

  3. Tap View Password History.

  4. This will open your item's password history. You can view up to 10 latest passwords, restore the previous password version or copy the password.

How many previous passwords are shown? 

  • You can view up to 10 latest passwords. 

Can I see the password history using offline mode? 

  • No, password history is not available in offline mode. 

Can other people see my password's history if the item is shared?

  • No, only the item's owner can see the password's history. 

Can I see my password's history if the item is moved to a shared folder?

  • No, if the password item is moved to a shared folder, you won’t be able to see the password history. Learn more about NordPass Enterprise Shared Folders (Beta) here.
