How to set up and access your MSP account

Once you’ve successfully become a partner with NordPass MSP, you can set up your MSP account to access MSP Admin Panel where you can fully manage organizations. This guide provides detailed steps for setting up the account and how to recover it.

How to set up NordPass MSP account?


To access the MSP Admin Panel, you first need to set up your NordPass MSP account. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

 

  1. Open the welcome email you’ve received from NordPass and select Start Registration Now.

  2. Take a moment to read through our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Once you’re ready to agree to them, check the box and select Continue.

  3. Create a password for your MSP account and select Continue.

    Note: All passwords created during this setup process will solely be for your MSP account. Each member will log in using their own unique credentials.

  4. Scan the QR code or enter the code into your authenticator app to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your MSP account and select Continue.

  5. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

  6. Make sure to save your backup codes and select Continue.

    Note: Backup codes will allow you to log in to the MSP Admin Panel if you lose access to your authenticator app.

  7. Create a Master Password for your MSP account and select Continue. The Master Password serves as an extra layer of security and is used when you wish to unlock the MSP Admin Panel.

How to use Recovery Code?

 

If you lose or forget your Master Password, your Recovery Code will let you access the MSP Admin Panel.
 

Once you create your MSP account, you’ll be prompted to save and store your Recovery Code in a safe place.

  1. Find your Recovery Code.

  2. At the MSP Admin Panel login screen, select Forgot Master Password?

  3. Enter your Recovery Code and select Continue.

  4. Enter your new Master Password and select Continue.

    Note: If you forget your Master Password and don’t have your Recovery Code, you’ll lose MSP Admin Panel access.

How to change your Master Password?

 

Follow the steps below to change your Master Password in the MSP Admin Panel:

 

  1. Log in to https://msp.nordpass.com

  2. Select your email address at the bottom left corner and open the account's profile.

  3. Select Change Master Password in the Settings section.

  4. Follow the onscreen steps to change your Master Password.

How to generate a new Recovery Code?

 

Recovery Code is valid only for one Master Password reset. If you have already used the code or simply lost it, follow these steps to generate a new Recovery Code: 

 

  1. Log in to https://msp.nordpass.com

  2. Select your email address at the bottom left corner and open the account's profile.

  3. Select Reset Recovery Code in the Settings section.

  4. Generate a new Recovery Code and make sure to store it in a safe place. 

 

How to log into your MSP Account

 

NordPass MSP partners are granted access to the NordPass MSP Admin Panel where they can manage organizations and their use of NordPass. MSP Admin Panel is also used to invite or remove MSP members and give them different roles. 

 

To access MSP Admin Panel, the MSP account needs to be set up first. Check our guide on how to set up a NordPass MSP account for detailed steps.

 

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to access the MSP Admin Panel:

 

  1. Go to https://msp.nordpass.com.

  2. Enter your MSP account email address and select Continue.

  4. Enter the 6-digit code from your authentication app.

  5. Enter your NordPass Master Password and select Unlock MSP Admin Panel.

Session support

 

NordPass MSP Admin Panel supports sessions, meaning you will not be asked to enter your MSP account password and two-factor authentication (2FA) code whenever you log in using the same device and browser. A session is active for 30 days, after 30 days of inactivity you will be asked to log in with your MSP account password and provide a 2FA code. Additionally, you will need to go through a full login flow if you use a different device or browser.

 

A session can be removed by logging out from the MSP Admin Panel. To log out, open your account’s profile at the bottom right corner in the MSP Admin Panel and select Log out

Now, the next time you try to log in you will be asked to enter your MSP account’s password and the 2FA code from the authentication app.
