How to set up and access your MSP account

Introduction

In this article, you will learn how to set up your NordPass MSP account, log in to the MSP Admin Panel, and change your Master Password.  This will help you securely manage organizations and MSP members in the NordPass MSP Admin Panel.

Here’s what to do

Set up your NordPass MSP account

  1. Open the welcome email you received from NordPass and select “Start Registration Now”.
  2. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then check the box to agree and select “Continue”.
  3. Create a password for your MSP account and select “Continue”.
This password is only for your MSP account; each member will use their own credentials.
  4. Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your MSP account:
    • Scan the QR code or manually enter the code into your authenticator app.
    • Select “Continue”.

Note: If you decide to skip this step, you can set up MFA for your MSP at any time in the "Settings" page.

  5. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app when prompted.
  6. Save your backup codes in a secure place and select “Continue”.
  7. Create a Master Password for your MSP account and select “Continue”.

Log in to the MSP Admin Panel

  1. Go to the MSP Admin Panel.
  2. Enter your MSP account email address and select “Continue”.
  3. Enter your MSP account password and select “Continue”.
  4. If MFA is enforced, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

MFA and Master Password session controls

We recommend enforcing global MFA for all MSP members for increased security. You can do that during the initial account creation process or at any time in the future. To turn ON global MFA:

  • Navigate to the "Settings" page of the MSP admin panel
  • Turn the MFA toggle ON
  • Confirm changes with your MFA or Account password

From this moment, all MSP members will be required to set up and use MFA in order to log in to the MSP admin panel.

In order to adjust the Master Password session time:

  • Navigate to the "Settings" page of the MSP admin panel
  • Locate the “Master Password session” section
  • Choose the time after which all MSP members will be asked to enter their MasterPassword. We recommend keeping the Master Password session as short as possible.

Additional tips

  • Store your Master Password, Recovery Code, and backup codes separately and securely. If you forget your Master Password and Recovery Code, you’ll lose MSP Admin Panel Access.
  • Do not share your Master Password, Recovery Code, or backup codes with other MSP members.
  • Whenever you change your Master Password, generate and safely store a new Recovery Code.
  • If you access the MSP Admin Panel from shared or public devices, always log out to end the session.
