How to export passwords from Safari to NordPass?

Introduction

This article will show you how to export passwords from Safari and import them to NordPass.

Note: Safari versions 18 or later support password exporting.

 

Here's what to do

To export your saved passwords from the Safari browser, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Safari browser and select the "file" button located on the upper-left side.
  2. Click on the "Export Browsing Data To File..." button.
  3. Switch the “Passwords” toggle to the ON position.
  4. Press the "Export" button.
  5. Select the folder where you would like to save your passwords .ZIP file and save it.
  6. Use your password or Touch ID to export passwords.
  7. Unzip the file by double-clicking it.
  8. In the newly created folder, you will find a .CSV file with your exported passwords.

Additional tips

  • Never send your exported password file over email or untrusted channels.
  • Consider deleting your passwords from Safari afterward to avoid having your credentials stored in multiple places.
