Introduction
This guide will explain how to clear your browser’s cache in order to fix display glitches, load the latest version of a site, and free up storage.
Here’s what to do
Google Chrome/Brave
- Open the Google Chrome browser and click on the “Three-dots” button, located at the top-right corner.
Note: The Brave browser will display the “Three-lines” button instead of the “Three-dots” button.
- Next, select the “Delete Browsing Data…” button.
- Alternatively, enter “chrome://settings/clearBrowserData” in the search bar and press “Enter”.
- Choose a time range and the “Cached images and files” button.
- Afterward, click on the “Delete data” button.
Firefox
- Open the Firefox browser and click on the “Three-lines” button, located at the top-right corner.
- Select the “History” button and click on the “Clear recent history…” button.
- Select the time range from the drop-down menu, and check the “Temporary cached files and pages” option.
- Next, click on the “Clear” button.
Safari
- Open the Safari browser, and click the “Safari” button, located at the top-left corner.
- Next, select the "Clear History…" button, and choose the desired time range from the dropdown menu.
- Click the "Clear History" button.
Opera
- Open the Opera browser and click on the “Three-lines” button, located at the top-right corner
- Scroll down and click on the “Clear” button, located in the “Privacy & Security” section.
- Alternatively, enter “opera://settings/clearBrowserData” in the search bar and press “Enter”.
- Select the time range from the drop-down menu, and check the “Cached images and files” option.
- Click the “Delete data” button.
Microsoft Edge
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser, and click on the “Three-lines” button, located at the top-right corner.
- Click on the “Settings” button, and choose the “Privacy, search, and services” option, located on the left side.
- Click on the “Clear browsing data” button, and select the “Choose what to clear” option.
- Select the time range from the drop-down menu, and check the “Cached images and files” option.
- Click on the “Clear now” button.
