Set up 2FA with NordPass on Atlassian

Introduction

In this article, you will learn how to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) codes with NordPass Authenticator for your Atlassian account to enhance account security.

 

Before you start

  • The feature is available in the Android and iOS mobile apps and the NordPass standalone extension.

 

Here's what to do

  1. Log in to your Atlassian account.
  2. Click your avatar in the top-right corner and open “Account settings”.
  3. Open the “Security” tab and select “Manage two-step verification”.
  4. Enter your Atlassian account password and select “Set up”. In the next window, choose “Yes, ready to scan code”.
  5. Open the NordPass app, find your Atlassian item, and select “Edit.” If you don’t have a saved login, create a new one.
  6. Select “Add Two-Factor Code” and scan the QR code displayed on the Atlassian website (or enter the setup code manually).
  7. Enter the 6-digit code generated by NordPass and select “Connect phone”.
  8. Save your emergency recovery key.
