How to enable biometric unlock in the NordPass Extension

Introduction

This article explains how to enable biometric unlock for the NordPass Browser Extension, replacing the need to enter your Master Password.

Note: Biometric unlock is not yet available for Firefox and Safari on macOS.

 

Here's what to do

  1. Open the NordPass browser extension.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the bottom-left corner.

    Note: If you are using the NordPass extension in full-screen, the gear icon will be located in the upper-left corner.
     
  3. Switch on “Unlock with Touch ID” or “Unlock with Windows Hello”
  4. Enter your Master Password.
  5. Select “Continue” in the pop-up to enable biometrics. 

 

Additional tips

  • Keep in mind that if you reinstall the application, it will delete your biometrics, so it is important to remember your Master Password.
