How to use OCR scanner

Introduction

This article will show you how to use the OCR scanner.

 

NordPass can now scan your data right from your camera on your mobile device, and upload it right away to your vault, without you having to type in anything.

 

Here's what to do 

  1. Open the NordPass application on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the "+" button located on the upper-right side, and select the "Secure Note" option.
  3. Afterward, select the "Scan note" button.
  4. Once the pop-up message appears, tap on the "Allow" button to give the NordPass application access to your camera.
  5. Scan the text or image, and take a picture of it.
  6. Edit the information if you need it, create a title, and tap the "Save" button, located on the upper-right.

 

Additional Tips

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a technology used to recognize text in documents, photos, or image files. It scans and identifies text (printed, typed, or handwritten) and converts it into editable file formats. Find out more about the OCR scan feature.
