How to disable the Edge password manager on Desktop?

Introduction

In this article, we will learn how to disable the Microsoft Edge password manager. 

While NordPass will work right from the moment the extension is installed, if there are any passwords saved in the native Brave password manager, those passwords will still be suggested.

Here's what to do

1. First, open the Edge browser and click the Edge Menu in the toolbar.
2. Select “Settings”.
3. Head to “Profiles” and click “Passwords”.
4. Disable the options to “Sign in automatically”.
   
   Note: The “Offer to save passwords” option is turned off automatically by NordPass.

Additional tips

• Delete your passwords from Edge once they are imported to NordPass.
