Introduction
This article will show you how to export passwords from Bitwarden and import them to NordPass.
Here's what to do
Web Vault
- Log in to your Bitwarden web vault.
- Open “Tools” in the top navigation bar.
- Select “Export Vault”, choose JSON file format, and click the “Confirm format” button.
- Enter your master password and click “Export Vault”.

Browser extension
- Open and log in to the Bitwarden browser extension.
- Go to the ”Settings” tab.
- Scroll down and select “Export Vault” under the tools tab.
- Choose “JSON file format”.
- Enter your master password and click “Submit”.

Desktop
- Open and log in to the Bitwarden desktop app.
- Go to the “Settings” tab.
- Navigate to File, and select “Export Vault”.
- Choose “JSON file format”.
- Choose the file name, location, and click “Save”.

Mobile
- Open and log in to the Bitwarden application.
- Select the “Settings” tab.
- Scroll down and select “Export Vault” under the tools tab.
- Choose “JSON file format”.
- Enter your master password and tap the “Export Vault” button.

Additional tips
- Never send your exported password file over email or untrusted channels.
- Consider deleting your passwords from Bitwarden afterward to avoid having your credentials stored in multiple places.
