How to export passwords from Bitwarden to NordPass?

Introduction

This article will show you how to export passwords from Bitwarden and import them to NordPass.
 

Here's what to do

Web Vault

1. Log in to your Bitwarden web vault.
2. Open “Tools” in the top navigation bar.
3. Select “Export Vault”, choose JSON file format, and click the “Confirm format” button. 
4. Enter your master password and click “Export Vault”.
5. To import your saved passwords to NordPass, follow our guide. 

Browser extension

1. Open and log in to the Bitwarden browser extension.
2. Go to the ”Settings” tab.
3. Scroll down and select “Export Vault” under the tools tab.
4. Choose “JSON file format”.
5. Enter your master password and click “Submit”.
6. To import your saved passwords to NordPass, follow our guide. 

Desktop

1. Open and log in to the Bitwarden desktop app.
2. Go to the “Settings” tab.
3. Navigate to File, and select “Export Vault”.
4. Choose “JSON file format”.
5. Choose the file name, location, and click “Save”.
6. To import your saved passwords to NordPass, follow our guide. 

Mobile

1. Open and log in to the Bitwarden application.
2. Select the “Settings” tab.
3. Scroll down and select “Export Vault” under the tools tab.
4. Choose “JSON file format”.
5. Enter your master password and tap the “Export Vault” button.
6. To import your saved passwords to NordPass, follow our guide. 

Additional tips

• Never send your exported password file over email or untrusted channels.
• Consider deleting your passwords from Bitwarden afterward to avoid having your credentials stored in multiple places.
