In this article, you will learn the different login options that NordPass offers.
What is Instant login, and how does it work?
Instant login is set to default and activated automatically when you visit a website with a login form for which you already have a password item saved in NordPass. A NordPass prompt will then appear at the top right of your browser, asking if you’d like to log in using the saved password item from your vault. Here's an example:
After clicking the log In button, NordPass will automatically fill in your credentials in all required fields and submit the form, eliminating the need for any further actions to access your account online.

Traditional NordPass autofill login feature
When you're on a login form, you'll see a NordPass logo on any field that can be autofilled, and suggestions pop up when you click on the logo or the field.
If you have items to autofill for that website, the dropdown can be opened by either clicking on the input field or on the NordPass icon. However, if there are no items to suggest to autofill, the dropdown does not open when clicked on the input field. You need to click on the NordPass icon to open it:

Using passkeys to log in
Passkeys are a new type of authentication that allows users to securely log in to websites and applications without having to enter their password. A passkey consists of two separate cryptography keys — public and private — that are generated during account registration. The public key is registered with the website or application, while the private key is stored locally on your device. When logging in, the keys are verified for a match. Once confirmed, access to the website is granted.
