NordPass login options

In this article, you will learn the different login options that NordPass offers. Please follow along the guide to get caught up to speed.

Instant Login

Instant Login is the default option for automatically filling in your information on login forms.

How does it work?

Instant Login is set to default and activated automatically when you visit a website with a login form for which you already have a password item saved in NordPass. A NordPass prompt will then appear at the top right of your browser, asking if you’d like to log in using the saved password item from your vault:

After clicking the Log In button, NordPass will automatically fill in your credentials in all required fields and submit the form, eliminating the need for any further actions to access your account online.

Using passkeys to log in

Passkeys are a new type of authentication that allows users to securely log in to websites and applications without having to enter their password. A passkey consists of two separate cryptography keys — public and private — that are generated during account registration. The public key is registered with the website or application while the private key is stored locally on your device. When logging in, the keys are verified for a match. Once confirmed, access to the website is granted.
