Introduction

A subdomain is a separate section of a website identified by a unique prefix added to the main domain name. For example, the support center article you're currently reading is hosted on the subdomain "support." of the domain "nordpass.com."

To set up autofilling via a subdomain, you can follow this article.

Here’s what happens

The subdomain matching feature simplifies managing autofill suggestions for websites with subdomains in their addresses. Rather than cluttering autofill suggestions with all items, this feature ensures that you only see the password item that matches the subdomain.

Let's say you have multiple password items stored in NordPass that use the same domain — example.com — but different subdomains:

  1. one.example.com
  2. x.one.example.com
  3. one.example.com:1000
  4. example.com

Using the subdomain matching feature, you can match any subdomain of example.com with any saved NordPass autofill suggestion:

This eliminates the need to sift through suggestions to figure out which password to choose. Instead, only one correct option will be suggested.
