How to change NordPass Autofill behavior

Introduction

This guide will show you how to customize your Autofil login information settings on desktop devices by adjusting NordPass Autofill preferences. 

 

Here's what to do

Change autofill behavior on Web browser of your choice

  1. Open a website of your choice, click on the NordPass icon in the login field, and select the "Autofill settings" button.
  2. To change the type of information NordPass autofills (such as logins or credit cards), select "Change Autofill suggestion type" and choose the information you would like to have filled in automatically.
  3. To turn off Autofill for a single field on the page, first select "Turn off Autofill" and then click on the "Don't autofill this field" button.

  4. To disable autofill for specific categories on your chosen website only, select the "Autofill options for the website", and choose one of the following buttons:

    • "Don't autofill any items"
    • "Don't autofill login details"
    • "Don't suggest instant login"
    • "Don't autofill contact info"
    • "Don't autofill credit card"

     

  5. Lastly, select the "Adjust in settings" button if you wish to configure the Autofill feature in the NordPass Web Vault.
  6. You can also use the NordPass context menu. Click the right mouse button, look for the “NordPass” menu item, “Manage Autofill”, and choose the required menu item: “Autofill options for this website” to choose which items to fill or not to fill, and “Adjust in Settings”. If you right-click on the form field, you also have access to “Don't Autofill this field”.

 

Reset the form Autofill to default

  1. Open a website of your choice, click on the NordPass icon, and select the "Autofill settings" button.
  2. Next, choose the "Change suggestion type" button.
  3. Afterward, select the "Reset to default" button.

    If you disabled Autofill for a field or adjusted form type, the NordPass icon may not be displayed on the form Field. In that case, you NordPass context menu through mouse right click.

    Note: The "Reset to default" button will only appear after you have made adjustments to the Autofill settings.

  • If you would like to leave us feedback about the Autofill feature, open a website, click on the NordPass icon in the login field, and choose the "Share feedback" button.
