Set up 2FA with NordPass on Dropbox

Introduction

In this article, you will learn how to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) codes with NordPass Authenticator for your Dropbox account to enhance account security.

 

Before you start

  • The feature is available in the Android and iOS mobile apps and the NordPass standalone extension.

 

Here's what to do

  1. Log in to your Dropbox account.
  2. Click your avatar and open “Settings”.
  3. Open the “Security” tab and toggle “Two-step verification” to On.
  4. Select “Get Started” and re-enter your Dropbox password.
  5. Choose “Use a mobile app” to generate codes with NordPass Authenticator.
  6. Open the NordPass app, find your Dropbox item, and select “Edit”. If you don’t have a saved login, create a new item.
  7. Select “Add Two-Factor Code” and scan the QR code displayed on the Dropbox website (or enter the setup code manually).
  8. Enter the 6-digit code generated by NordPass to enable two-step verification.
  9. Add a backup phone number and save your backup codes.
