How to disable autofill and autosave The NordPass allows you to configure the autofill and autosave settings with more granularity. You can decide yourself if you want to disable either of the features completely or a particular item type, globally or just for a few websites. This feature can be found in the settings, under the Autofill and autosave controls center option. Note: This feature is currently available on the browser extension with version 5.25 or later. Autofill controls Autofill controls allow you to choose how you want autofill suggestions to behave. You can choose to disable or enable it globally, meaning that the suggestions will be affected on all of the websites, or choose to do that for each website separately. Additionally, this can be done per item type, which means that, for example, you can keep autofill suggestions for your passwords, but disable it for personal info or credit card items. Note: if you disable autofill, we by default do not suggest autosave as well for that website or that item type. How to disable autofill suggestions globally? Under the Autofill controls section, you can disable login details (passwords and passkeys), personal info, and credit card items autofill suggestions by toggling off the specific item type. In addition, you can disable the Instant Login feature. Note, that if you disable login details autofill, the Instant Login is then disabled as well.If Password Generator is disabled, NordPass will not suggest randomly generated passwords in the autofill dropdown. How to disable autofill suggestions for a website? To configure autofill for a website, go to the Disabled autofill websites section. You can use the input field to either search one of the websites that is already on the list or add a new website URL to the table. By default, once the website is added all the autofill options are disabled. If you want to disable autofill for a specific item type for a website and keep autofill for other types, remove the uncheck the box next to those types. Note: If you disable one of the global settings, it will take precedence over the settings set for a website. In the example screenshot below, the Autofill for Personal info is enabled on the website, but is disabled by global setting. The value next to the website is grayed as it has no effect on the website at the moment. You can re-enable all the autofill suggestions for a particular website by unchecking all the checkboxes or removing the website from the table. This can be done by clicking a Trash bin icon on the right side of the item when hovered. The website will be removed without needing to confirm the action.Additionally, you can either disable or enable autofill via the contextual right-click menu in the browser. This will either disable or enable autofill for all item types. To change this, click on Adjust in settings and you will be taken to the Autofill and autosave controls center.The NordPass extension treats domains and subdomains individually for these settings. This means that company1.website.com, company2.website.com and website.com are 3 different websites and should all be added to the list if you wish to disable autofill for all of these websites. How to disable autofill for a specific field? You can also disable autofill for a specific field. This can be done by clicking on the input field so that it is ready for typing, right-clicking and choosing NordPass in the menu, then clicking on Manage autofill and selecting Don’t autofill this field. Fields autofill is controlled only via these options and are not set in the extension settings. Note: The settings for website autofill and the settings for a singular input field do not sync. If the field’s autofill is disabled then disabling or enabling autofill for the website will not affect it. If you want to disable autofill for a specific item type and keep autofill for other types, remove the uncheck the boxes next to those types.Note: Marked checkbox in the website list means that autosave suggestions are disabled.The screenshot below shows that autosave suggestions are disabled for personal information and credit card information. For this particular website, we suggest saving or updating information only for password or passkey items when possible. Note: If you disable one of the global settings, it will take precedence over the settings set for a website.
