How to add Custom Fields to your items

Introduction

Custom fields are additional fields that can be added to your items: passwords, personal info, credit cards, and notes.

 

This guide explains how to add, edit, and delete custom fields in NordPass for passwords, personal info, credit cards, and secure notes. 

 

Here's what to do

Mobile devices

  1. A custom field can be added while creating a new item or editing an existing one. To create a new item, open the NordPass application, select the "+" button located in the upper-right corner, and choose the item's type.
  2. To edit your item, tap the "Three-dots" button next to the item and select the "Edit" button.
  3. Afterwards, tap on the "Add field" button, and choose a custom field type.
  4. Next, enter the field name and tap on the "Save" button.
  5. After the new field is saved, you can type in the value. 
  6. Tap on the "Save" button located in the upper-right corner to confirm your choices.
  7. If you wish to edit or delete custom fields, tap on the "Three-dots" button next to them and choose your preferred action. Once the changes are made, tap on the "Save" button once more.

 

Desktop devices

  1. You can add a custom field when creating a new item or when editing an existing one. To create a new item, open NordPass, select the "Add item" button in the top-right corner, then choose the item type.
  2. To edit your item, click the "Three-dots" button next to the item and select the "Edit" button.
  3. Afterwards, tap on the "Add field" button, choose a custom field type, enter its name, and select the "Save" button.
  4. If you wish to edit or delete custom fields, tap on the "Three-dots" button next to them and choose your preferred action. Once the changes are made, tap on the "Save" button once more.

 

Additional tips

  • Use Hidden text for sensitive data you don’t want displayed by default.
  • Remember to save after adding, editing, or deleting custom fields to ensure your changes are stored.
